Boldness

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.”-Acts 4:13

If you are open and seeking Him, God will use you to shine light into a dark world. You don’t need a seminary degree or bible classes. God will fill you with the Holy Spirit and people will recognize that you spend time with and know Jesus.

Spend time in the Word. Spend time in prayer. Ask God to give you opportunity to be bold for Him and shine brightly!

God’s Power

“God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.”-Acts 2:24

Jesus couldn’t be held down by death because God is more powerful than death itself. The world’s belief is that death is always, without fail the end. God’s truth is that death has no power to stop his plan.

God is working in your life today. Don’t get caught up in the lie that God can’t complete his plan in you because of earthly circumstances. Death couldn’t hold Jesus down and nothing you are facing can hold you down with God on your side. Put all your faith in God, he is more than able.

Boast in God

“Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”- Jeremiah 9:23-24

Nothing we have, not strength and not money, delights that Lord. God is delighted when we recognize and live our lives fully trusting Him. Seeking to know Him and understand all that He is about: steadfast love, justice and righteousness. Our attitude as we walk through life is what delights God, not anything we own or any physical attribute.

If you are boasting in things about YOU, your confidence is misplaced. Boast in the things of God, seek to have a better grasp of His character, and live a life that delights your heavenly Father.

Adored

“Keep me as the apple of your eye;”-Psalm 17:8a

The “apple” of someone’s eye is someone who is fully and completely loved and adored. We, you and me, with all our flaws and brokenness are the apple of God’s eye. This verse isn’t asking TO BE the apple, the writer already knows they ARE the apple!

Do you know that you are the apple of God’s eye? You don’t have to feel it, feelings can be misleading. You have to know it. God knows every single thing about you and He loves you unconditionally. So much so that He has made you the apple of His eye. Be blessed by that today and pour that love and grace out onto everyone you see.
